About Dabney Lawless | Astrologer & Teacher
Helping People Discover Meaning Through Astrology
I don't believe astrology tells us who we are.
I believe it helps us remember.
It reveals the gifts you've brought into this lifetime, the patterns you're here to transform, and the direction your soul is continually inviting you to grow.
That's why I teach astrology.
It offers not only insight into the past, but a framework for making conscious choices in the present.
Through Lawless Astrology, my mission is to make astrology approachable, practical, and deeply transformative. Whether you're exploring your birth chart for the first time or deepening an existing practice, I aim to help you build understanding and confidence through thoughtful teaching and meaningful conversation.
For more than 20 years, I've studied astrology and earned Evolutionary Astrology Master-Level Certification. My work has also been shaped by advanced study with Anne Ortelee and Rachel Lang at the Center for Relationships and Astrology, plus years of continuing education, teaching, and professional practice.
Teaching & Professional Work
Through online courses, workshops, YouTube conversations, public speaking, and consultations, I help students understand astrology in ways that are both intellectually rigorous and personally meaningful.
I've had the privilege of:
- Serving as the resident astrologer for Parents Magazine, Pregnancy & Newborn, and Working Mother in the 2000s
- Writing for Astrology.com, People.com, The Bump, Yogi Times, and OPA's The Evolving Astrologer
- Teaching for Synchronicity University
- Speaking for organizations including OPA, ISAR, and UAC
